Seen from above, a lone pedestrian moves across a street divided by long, angular shadows. Closely worked black lines gather around the building and dark pavement, while open areas make the figure and its path sharply legible. The elevated viewpoint turns an ordinary nighttime walk into a compact arrangement of light, direction and distance.

Hopper made Night Shadows as an etching in 1921, using the printed line to organize the city in black and white. This art print presents a detail of that composition rather than the full original plate. Its strong diagonals suit a study or hallway, where the monochrome scene can sit beside quiet furnishings and provide a graphic counterpoint to softer textures.

Order cancellations: You can cancel any order within 24 hours of purchase by emailing info@artefarstudio.com with your order number. After that your piece may already be in production, so please check the artwork, format, size, frame option and shipping address before ordering. Any right of withdrawal you have under the consumer law of your country is not affected — see our Returns & Refund Policy.

If your order arrives with shipping damage or a production defect, email info@artefarstudio.com. Photos of the front, the back and sides, the damaged area, the packaging and the shipping label help us resolve it quickly, and keeping the packaging until the issue is settled helps with any carrier claim — they are not a condition for your rights.

We will offer to produce and send a brand-new replacement at no cost to you. Where the consumer law of your country allows it, you may instead choose a refund, a price reduction or a free repair. Your statutory rights are not affected.
