New York pavements (square detail)

Tall columns and a recessed entrance rise above a narrow stretch of pavement. A small figure pushing a carriage moves through the lower part of the image, contrasting with the heavy stone architecture. Ocher, pink and brown surfaces make the building feel substantial, while the tiny street encounter offers a more intimate measure of the city.

New York Pavements, dated 1924–1925 in the Whitney exhibition record, shows Hopper organizing urban life through a sharply selected viewpoint. This art print presents a square detail rather than the painting's complete original proportions. The balance of doorway, steps and pedestrian movement gives a hallway or study architectural rhythm, especially beside warm neutrals and uncluttered furnishings.

After that your piece may already be in production, so please check the artwork, format, size, frame option and shipping address before ordering. If your order arrives with shipping damage or a production defect, email info@artefarstudio.com. Photos of the front, the back and sides, the damaged area, the packaging and the shipping label help us resolve it quickly, and keeping the packaging until the issue is settled helps with any carrier claim — they are not a condition for your rights.

We will offer to produce and send a brand-new replacement at no cost to you. Where the consumer law of your country allows it, you may instead choose a refund, a price reduction or a free repair. Your statutory rights are not affected.
