Luncheon of the boating party

Friends gather around a table beneath a striped awning, with hats, glassware and loosely arranged food creating a lively foreground. Faces turn in different directions, connecting the group through conversation rather than a single shared pose. Beyond the railing, foliage and glimpses of the river keep the crowded gathering open to the outdoor setting.

The Phillips Collection holds Renoir’s oil painting Luncheon of the boating party, made in 1880–1881. Its combination of still-life objects, individual portraits and outdoor atmosphere gives the social scene an unusually varied structure. This art print suits a dining room where the table and the artwork can share a sense of hospitality; simple surrounding colors leave the figures and the patterned awning clearly readable.

Unframed Rolled Matte Poster: Giclée-printed on 200 g/m² matte poster paper with a smooth, glare-free finish. Supplied unframed and carefully rolled for transit — frame it your own way once it arrives. Frame is not included in the rolled poster price — any frame shown in lifestyle photos is for presentation only.

Stretched Canvas — ready to hang: Printed on a premium cotton/polyester matte canvas, stretched over a sturdy 1.25" pine frame with pre-installed hanging hardware and corner stability dots. No framing needed.

Float Frame Canvas: The stretched canvas sits inside a separate outer wooden frame with a deliberate gap around the edge — the signature floating effect, for a more gallery-luxury presentation. Arrives ready to hang.
